FREDONIA, Ariz. Sterling Heaton, age 86, died May 16, 1984, in Kanab. Born Nov. 21, 1897, in Or-derville, Or-derville, Or-derville, to Jonathon and Lucy Elizabeth Elizabeth Carroll Heaton. Married Jane Myrtle White May 22, 1924, in the St. George LDS Temple. He was a retired cattle rancher and worked 28 years as Kanab constable, constable, deputy sheriff and Justice of the Peace. He was active in the LDS Church, and custodian to Fredonia School and Fredonia LDS Chapel. Survivors: wife, of Fredonia; daughter: Mrs. Woodrow (Jane lone) Johnson, Mesa, Ariz.; son: Sterling Eugene Heaton, Fredonia; 10 granchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-grandchildren; brothers: Harold, Salt Lake City; Dan, St. George; sisters: Elsie Carroll, Gilbert, Ariz. ; Harriot Glover, Glover, Las Vegas; and Rebbie, California. California. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Saturday, May 19, at 1 p.m. (Arizona time) at the Fredonia LDS Chapel. Where friends may call from 11:30 a.m. until time of services. Burial in the Mocassin Cemetery under the direction direction of Mosdell Mortuary.
