Donald was born in St. George, Utah, Sept. 29,1926, the youngest child of Charles Walter and Sarah Ellen Manwaring Cottam. He spent his youth roaming the red hills of Dixie with his five brothers. Donald was raised in part by his two older sisters as his mother died when he was but a child.

As a young man he moved to California, where he met and married Dorothy Florence Schuder. Their home was never blessed with children, but he loved and was loved by his many nieces and nephews. The couple lived in the Detroit area, where he worked as a press man at the Detroit Free Press for over 30 years. Donald was preceded in death by his 2 brothers; Rulon (R.V.) and Walter Raymond, 3 sisters; Ellen, Mildred, and Verda. He is survived by his wife Dorothy, brothers; LaVell of Florence, Oregon, Grant of Orem, Utah, Alvin of St.

George, Utah, and William of New York, New York, sisters; Emily Godfrey of Ogden, Utah, Mary Alice Carter of Draper, Utah, and Catherine Stucki of Cedar City, Utah. While completing her nursing training she received a B.S. in education. She was instrumental in directing a nursing program for the underprivileged and inspired many to continue their pursuit of becoming a nurse. Hawkins CEDAR CITY Our wonderful father, Dewey, fought the good fight and quietly went home to once again embrace our Lord. Dewey was born October 26, 1923 in Crothersville, Indiana.

The oldest of four son's born to Dewey Hawkins, Sr. and Amanda Leona Hawkins. Dewey lived during the Great Depression and worked as a paper boy to help support the family. He graduated from Crothersville High School with the highest I.Q. score ever recorded even to this day.

After getting an appointment to go to West Point, he could not afford to go, so he joined the Army in 1948 and fought in Korea. He was promoted to staff sergeant where he remained in Korea until his tour of duty was up in 1951. Dewey was so proud to be an American and displayed a flag in his window all year. After returning from war, he met the love of his life Gerrie Banks. After a short courtship, they were married 40 years until she passed away in 1992.

Dewey was a businessman, working in California for Bendix Corporation and was President of his union for several years. He owned and operated Dewey's Diner in Milford for many years. He also sold real estate and managed apartment buildings, and was a jack of all trades. Dewey was especially proud of his family and loved them very much. We love and will miss our little Pap. Lucille Cannon Waldron BOUNTIFUL Lucille Cannon Waldron, 87, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2005. She was born July 28, 1918 to Lewis Ray and Jennie Luemma Laub Cannon in Stone, Idaho. She was raised in Fielding, Utah and graduated from Bear River High School and LDS Business College. Lucille was active in the Tremonton Civic Club where she was the recipient of the Woman of the Year Award.

She loved to play golf and bridge. She sewed quilts and many other fun things for her grandchildren. She was an active member of the Church Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints serving in many positions including Primary, Young Women, Relief Society President and Den Mother. She served a mission in Coventry England and most recently served as an officiator in the St. George Temple.

She is survived by her children: Barbara (Sam) Howard, St. George, UT; Gae Dysli, St. George, UT; Kirk (Carol) Waldron, Provo, UT; Jane (Mark) Baer, Littleton, CO; Kelly (Evelyn) Waldron, Kaysville, UT. Also surviving are her siblings: Leah (Harold) Holley, Provo, UT; Owen (Jill) Cannon, Tremonton, UT; Hortense (Charles) Pink, Tustian, CA. She is preceded in death by her parents, ten brothers and sisters, her husbands: Owen Keller, Russell Waldron, Wayne Sandall and a son, Neal Waldron.

Services will be held Monday, August 22 at 11:00 a.m. at the Tremonton Stake Center, 660 North 300 East, Tremonton, UT with Bishop Michael Bowcutt conducting. and Zina Gibbs Harris. She was married to Ernest Cornwall on June 1, 1927 in the Logan L.D.S. Temple. He died on November 7, 1946. She married Conrad B.

Hansen on February 14, 1955. She was a graduate of Box Elder High School and also attended Brigham Young College in Logan, Utah. She taught school for several years in Box Elder County. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings throughout her life. She loved to serve others and volunteered as a Pink Lady at the Bear River Valley Hospital.

She achieved her life masters in duplicate bridge and was a member of the Skyway Golf and Country Club. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Cornwall (Henry) Mendoza, four grandchildren, Diane (Ken) Young, Lori (Randy)Johnson, Kathie (Scott) Steinert, Mark (Jill) Mendoza, and thirteen great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters, Marjorie Ward of Ogden, Evelyn Fuhriman Isaacson of Tremonton, and William R. (Marilyn) Harris of Shoshone, Idaho. Additonal surviving sister inlaws, Carol Harris and Helen Harris.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Virgil Harris, O.J. Harris, and Wendell Harris. Also preceding her in death were her sisters, Leora Moore, and Mary Harris (child). She has many surviving neices and nephews. at her home in Ivins, Utah. She was born on August 24, 1928 in Homestead near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Jesse Hatch and Helen Frances Kamm Hatch. She married Arden Lowell Scott in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple, on July 18, 1946. Nancy lived in Pittsburgh until her marriage. She lived in California for many years before coming to Utah.

She loved to play the piano and organ and many said she was one of the best organist around. She was the organist for her LDS church ward wherever she lived. She had a musical gift. She loved to make beautiful things. She painted incredible nature scenes with oils and enjoyed tole painting.

She was in charge of many Bazaars for her church. They were always a great success. Her home was a Mecca of creativity where everyone felt welcome. Her family loved her very much and will greatly miss her. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, two brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by her husband, Arden Lowell Scott of Ivins, Utah, her son, Jesse (Kathy) Scott of Taylorsville, Utah, and three daughters, Colleen (Tom) Ray of 29 Palms, CA, Jo Lynne (Dennis) Watkins of Visalia, CA, and Laurie (Kevin) Smith of Encinitas, CA. She has 23 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She has one brother, Senator Orrin (Elaine) Hatch of Salt Lake City, Utah, and three sisters, Marilyn (Norm) Kuch of La Crescenta, CA, Frances Merrill of Murray, Utah and Jessica (Norm) Cluff of Orem, Utah. A viewing will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2005 at 9:30 a.m. followed by the funeral at 11:00 a.m.
