He was born September 10, 1936, in Sterling City Texas, to Jewel and Hassie (Montgomery) Sanders. William lived in Texas and northern California before moving to Las Vegas in 1954, and in 1956 he joined the Air Force.

On November 29, 1957, he married Judith Ann Murphy in Las Vegas. After their marriage, the family spent a brief time in Ontario, Canada with the Air Force, followed by a return to California until 1968 when they moved back to Las Vegas. GEORGE Peter W. Cobb, age 86, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2006. He was born on November 19, 1919 in Forbes, Minnesota, to Patrick and Catherine Peter grew Minnesota, and later served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He worked on the (McKinnon) Cobb.

up in northern railroad in Minnesota before he joined the Navy and again afterwards, as well as some construction. Peter married Margaret Pauletti, who preceded him in death, and later married Barbara Lyman. GEORGE Our beloved husband, father and PaPa, Rondo Nord Shaw, slept peacefully into the next life Thursday, July 13, 2006, after a long courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma. He was surrounded by his wife, children and grandchildren at his bedside. He was born June 2, 1941 to Richard Lynn Shaw and Fern Larsen Nordfelt in Aurora, UT.

He was sealed in the Salt Lake Temple to Anna LaRee Tolman on August 9, 1963. He was called to the North British Mission in 1960 then transferred to the Mission. In 1962, he was transferred to the newly organized Irish Mission under President Stephen R. and Sandra Covey. He had a special love for the Irish Saints and returned several times since his mission.

He has been a faithful member of The Shamrock Society for over 42 years. The Shamrock Society has supported several Irish Saints to serve missions that would otherwise not have the opportunity. He was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in many callings. He served as counselor in the Bishopric and High Counselor in the Taylorsville Stake. He especially loved working with the youth and in the athletic programs.

He had a love for all sports, especially basketball, baseball, and volleyball. He was the "spark plug" of the basketball team at North Sevier High School. He loved hunting, fishing, horseback riding, traveling, and spending time with his family. Rondo was an exceptionally talented young man. Growing up in a large family, on a farm taught him the values of hard work.

He was co-owner of Bonanza Construction and Supreme Carpets for many years. He was admired and respected by those that knew him in Salt Lake City and Saint George most recently in the floor covering business. Rondo's greatest pride and passion was his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Anna LaRee Tolman Shaw, six children, Rhonda Ann Shedrick, Peoria, AZ, Selena Marie (Jeff Ashment), St. George, Ut, Heather LaRee, (Mike Lofthouse), Chandler, AZ, Clinton Rondo Shaw (Deidre), St.

at the Taylorsville Stake Center, 1400 W. 4800 S. There will be a viewing on Monday, July 17, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., and again one hour prior to services at the Stake Center. Interment will take place at the Taylorsville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his name to the Huntsman Cancer Institute.

Mildred Phillips Raichart ST. GEORGE Mildred Phillips Raichart, age 92, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at her home. She was born in Arapahoe, Nebraska on November 21, 1913. She later moved to McCook, Nebraska and in 1956 she moved to Salt Lake City. On September 2, 1966 Mildred married Lyle Raichart, who preceded her in death on August 13, 1998.

In her service to God she has done what she could. She and Lyle had a Christian Fellowship Meeting in their home for many years, and she faithfully served her Heavenly Father to the end. She leaves her son, David Raichart and wife Donna, of Ogden, UT; six grandchildren, Eugene (Cheryl) Raichart, of Sterling Colorado; Geoffery, of Ogden, UT, Venise, of Roseberg, OR, Orin, of Ogden, UT, Stephen (Kelly) of Yamhill, OR, Esther of Grand Junction, CO; nine greatgrandchildren, two great-greatgrandchildren; sisters Hazel Phillips, and Joan (James) Petri of St. George, UT, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 17, 2006, 11:00 a.m.

at the Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 S. Bluff St. George, UT. Visitation will be Monday, 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., prior to services at the Mortuary. A service will also take place on Tuesday, July 18, 2006, 11:00 a.m.

He was born in Gunnison, Utah on February 23, 1925 to Reuben L.

and Phoebe G. (Pace) Larsen. Earl graduated from West High School in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1943 and immediately joined the U.S. Navy to serve in World War Il. Earl married Bettymae Badley in Portland, Oregon on March 24, 1946.

They had been sweethearts since 1941. Earl and Bettymae settled in Salt Lake City, Utah where they raised 4 children. Earl loved each of his 17 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren. He was a journeyman carpenter and then General Superintendent in commercial construction for over 38 years and a member of the local carpenter's union for over 56years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and was able to travel the U.S.

extensively with Bettymae for over 15 years. For 6 years they were full time RV'er and settled in St. George in 1993. Earl is survived by his wife Bettymae B. Larsen, sons, Randy and David, daughter, Debra and sister, Maxine Hillman.

He is preceded in death by his son Robert. Earl was gentle, polite, hard working and truly loved and appreciated by all who knew him. A graveside services will be held at the Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Bluffdale, Utah, July 17, 2006 at 10 a.m. Karen Crane Gudmundson ST. GEORGE Karen Crane Gudmundson, age 84, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 13, 2006, after many years of age related illnesses.

She will be remembered with love and admiration by her family, friends, and students. Karen was born on July 21, 1921 in Mink Creek, Idaho. Karen married Serge Bingham Gudmundson on January 17, 1947. She graduated from BYU and later earned her Masters Degree in education. She worked as an English teacher from August 1947 until May of 1986.

Karen lived in Salt Lake City, Utah, while her husband attended Law School, after which they moved to Las Vegas, Nevada for a brief time. Karen resided in Ogden, Utah until July 1974, when she moved to St. George, Utah. Karen is preceded in death by her husband, Serge B. Gudmundson, who passed away on Oct.10, 1990; two sons, Lee Steve and Dee Bruce, who were born on March 26, 1958 and passed away the next day.

Also preceding her in death were her parents, one sister, and one brother. Karen's first priority in life was the love and well-being of her family. She took pleasure in the simple daily interactions with them. She was supportive, caring and helpful. The family members that were not close, she missed and loved deeply.

Karen enjoyed her years as a teacher. She encouraged all forms of education during her teaching career as well as after her retirement. Her students will fondly remember her as "Mrs. who loved to "tie fishing flies" with her students in class. Karen's other great enjoyment in her life was gardening.

She cherished her yard, rosebushes and garden. It made her most happy when she could share that gardening joy with others. Her other hobbies included quilting and jewelry making. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Karen will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her five children and two son-in-laws, Van Serge Gudmundson of St. George, Lex Crane Gudmundson of Las Vegas, Susan Gudmundson of Ogden, Cindy G. and Peter F. LaCorti of St. George, and Kayla G.

Andre' E.Janssen of Las Vegas. She also is survived by six grandchildren, one great-grandchild, three step-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren, two sisters and three brothers. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, July 19,.2006, 9:00 a.m., at the St. George City Cemetery, St. George, UT.
