Mom and Dad enjoyed traveling, and saw many states and wonderful sights. After settling in Salt Lake City, Utah they developed many lifelong friends whom they enjoyed.

She was a faithful member of the Order of Eastern Star for 50 years. She also worked for years with Job's Daughters. She was a Southern Baptist for years, and after Dad's passing joined the Lutheran Church. She stayed busy until the last 10 years of her life. She moved to live with her daughter in St.

George, Utah until the last few years when Alzheim-ers slowly took over her once active life. She is survived by her daughter Karen Heil (Wil-bert) of St. George, Utah; a granddaughter: Lisa of Denver, CO; 2 grandsons: Kevin of Las Vegas, NV, and Kenny of Ft. Collins, CO; several great-grandsons and great-granddaughters; and by many nieces and nephews of whom she loved dearly. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister, brother, grandsons, and her beloved little poodle Yvette.

Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 South Redwood Road, Salt Lake City, Utah. Mom was born in old Butler, Tennessee (now covered by Watagua Dam) on January 1 1 1 91 7 to Ida Mae Glover. Wilma attended grade school in a one-room building that taught all grades.

After high school graduation she attended Watagua Academy in Butler. She gained her diploma for teaching, and taught for a short period of time. While teaching she worked in a restaurant, where she met the future love of her life. She married Melvin Carl Eklund on September 23, 1941 in Butler. After a short honeymoon they set up housekeeping in Butler.

Dad worked for a drilling company which kept the family moving all over the United States. Their only daughter was born in 1942 in Illinois. Soon Melvin was working in Central America, and Wilma moved back to Butler to raise Karen. They later lived in Wyoming for several years before moving to Salt Lake City in 1961. Mom enjoyed many hobbies, and seemed to excel in them all.

She was a wonderful cook, and many memories are of after school aromas as she baked almost daily. She was a perfectionist at her ceramics. She sold many, Patricia L. Nolan they had 5 children and later divorced. On June 29, 1974, Tom married Norma J.

Dinon, in Honolulu, Hawaii. Tom was raised in Cottonwood, ID and graduated from St. Gertrude's Academy. He attended Whitman College in Walla Walla, WA and Sacramento State College in CA. In Hawaii for 45 years Tom owned and published numerous tourist magazines, Waikiki Visitor and Poi Pounder.

He also owned and operated Happy Time Sport Fishing Charters in Honolulu and Kona. In Kona, he published the fishing and golf guide, Fins Fairways. Tom retired to St. George, UT in May of 2004 with his wife Norma, where they enjoyed playing golf, fishing and traveling around the US in their motor home. Tom is survived by his wife Norma of 36 years; 5 children, David Armstrong and Patrick (Amy) Armstrong of Red Bluff, CA, Timothy (Teresa) Armstrong of Santa Rosa, CA, Malia (Dag) Jo-sang of McKinleyville, CA and Christopher Armstrong of St.

Thomas, USVI; 7 grandchildren; a brother, Robert (Peggy) Armstrong of Woodland, CA; and 3 nieces. Tom is preceded in death by his parents. A funeral Mass will be held Monday, December 6, 2010, at 1 1 :00 am at the St. George Catholic Church, 259 W. 200 St.

George, UT. A private family ceremony of scattering the ashes will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in the name of Thomas E. Armstrong to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O.

Brent was a wonderful son, brother, husband, father and friend. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 6, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the LDS Chapel on 449 South 300 East, St.

George. A viewing will be held 12:00 p.m. prior to services. Interment will be at the Tonaquint Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of McMillan Mortuary at 435-688-8880.

John left this mortal life December 1 2010, at 8:00 p.m. in our home. He was born May 13, 1933, in Duchesne, UT, to Gerald Vern and Leatha Mower Blackburn.

A.J. received his education in Salt Lake City and majored in marketing at Provo Vocational. He served in the U.S. Navy. A.J.

married Shirlee Yoeman and together they have a special daughter, Susan Best. They were later divorced. He married his eternal sweetheart, Ann Mecham Blackburn, in the Provo LD.S. Temple. They have enjoyed many happy hours serving there.

A.J. is survived by: his wife, Ann; daughters, Susan and Beti; brothers, Ralph, Tom, and David; sisters, Jo Ann and Ranae; ten grandchildren; and his loving dogs, Alphie, and Sparkle, Special thanks are extended to Dave and Michelle, many other nieces and nephews, and to Nanette and Carol at Applegate Hospice for their tender care. Brent Stephens D. Brent Stephens of St. George, Utah passed away of natural causes, on Wednesday, December 1st, 2010, of at the age of 71. He was born and raised in Og-den, Utah, March 26, 1939. He is the son of Harold J.

and Mary Esther Stephens (deceased), of Ogden, Utah. He is survived by his eternal mate, Geraldine (Gerri) Stephens. They were married in the Salt Lake City Temple in 1964. Brent is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He served in many teaching and leadership positions, with the youth and was a first counselor in the Bishopric where they lived in Washington State.

He graduated from Weber State College in 1964 He received his Bachelor degree from Utah State College with honors in 1966. He went on to receive his Masters in Teaching from Wayne State College in Detroit Michigan, with honors, in 1970. After accepting teaching position, Brent moved his family to Vancouver, Washington to open the first Electronics Program. Brent and Gerri raised their family there and he taught for 39 years before he retired. During his career he took his students to Soul Korea for placing 10th in the International Electronics Competition (VICA).

Brent and Gerri retired to Las Vegas, Nevada, and lived there for 1 1 years then later moved to St. George, Utah. Brent had many talents and hobbies. Through the years he and Gerri owned an Arcade and. a photography studio.

Family was very important to him and he loved to take them water-skiing, camping and fishing. He always made sure to come and see his family in Utah each year. He was talented with mechanics and wood working. He helped build their first home in Brush Prairie, Washington. In addition to his eternal mate, Gerri, he is survived by 4 children and their spouses, 5 siblings and 16 grandchildren.

George, UT (435) 652-1929 GEORGE -Dell Brown-field, age 93, passed away on Monday, November 29, 2010. He was bom I Mm June 24, 1917, in Montrose, Missouri to Charles and Alice Brownfield. He married Vera "Dolly" Brownfield, October 12, 1999, in Las Vegas, NV. Dell was raised and graduated in Missouri and later moved to Price, UT, where he went into the mining field. He retired to St.

George, Utah, where he met Dolly and they eventually married. They enjoyed camping with the Color Country Ramblers Good Sam Club, in the summer they would travel to Star Valley, WY and in the winter to Yuma, AZ. They traveled extensively in between and every place they went they had to play golf. They also belonged and enjoyed going to the Elks Lodge. He is survived by his wife, Vera "Dolly" Brownfield of St.

George, UT; his daughter, Janet and Gary Prazen of Price, UT; Dolly's children, Brent and Debbie Brusch, Dennis and Debbie Terrell and Shane and Loren McGeehan all of Salt Lake City. He has numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren which he loved dearly. He is preceded in death by his parents; previous spouses, Dawn Brownfield and Chrystal Brownfield; and his best friend Bob Williams and families. The family would like to give a special thanks to Kolob Care and Rehab staff for their wonderful care. A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, December 8, 2010, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m.

He was bom September 4, 1926, in Emery, Utah, to Ferry C. Broderick and Fanny Irene Pierce.

He was married to Bernice Cox on May 24th, 1947, in the St. George LDS temple. LaMar served honorably in the US Army during WWII. He dedicated 33 years of his life to the Acid Plant at the Kennecott Copper Company. He served an LDS mission in the Southern Texas Mission with his wife from 1991-1993.

He was active in the LDS Church, and he used to say, "The Church is so true, I cant believe it!" LaMar is survived by his wife, Bemice Cox Broderick; ten children; 56 grandchildren, and a growing number of great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 11 2010, 11:00 a.m. at the LDS chapel located at 250 S. 700 Hurricane, UT. Viewing will be at prior to the services at the church.
