Spectrum Wednesday, August 23, 1989 Obituaries Robert Griffin ESCALANTE Robert Clem Griffin, 37, and Colette Marie Griffin, 16, died Aug. 20, 1989, on Cedar Mountain in an auto accident. Robert was born July 24, 1952, in Panguitch to Clem Hunter and Donita Marie Hendrix Griffin. He married Debora M. Hambleton.

They were later divorced. He married Stacy Pidcock. They were later divorced. He was a member of the LDS Church and a graduate of Murray High School. He was a heavy equipment operator, and was involved in farming and ranching.

Neoma Baldwin ESCALANTE Neoma Griffin Baldwin, 30, died Sunday, Aug. 20, 1989 in a car accident in Cedar Canyon. She was born Jan. 28, 1959 in Panguitch to Cecil F. and Carrie Bailey Griffin.

She married Billy Gene Baldwin May 19, 1978 in Cedar City. They were later Delora Rackley HURRICANE Delora May Rackley, 63, died Saturday, Aug. 19, 1989 of cancer at her daughter's home in Rexburg, Idaho. She was born April 18, 1926 in Provo. She lived in Salt Lake City and later moved to Hurricane.

She married Conrad Piesky April 30, 1942. He died April 21, 1947. She married Lloyd Rackley on March 27, 1948. Trudie Atwood COLORADO CITY, Ariz. Trudie Beal Cox Atwood, 83, died Tuesday, Aug.

22, 1989 at the Dixie Medical Center in St. George. She was born Feb. 19, 1906 in Emery to Edgar Alonzo and Jennie Luella Keele Beal. She married Bryan Cox Oct.

25, 1923. He died May 6,, 1956. She married William Atwood in December of 1959 in Wellington. He died in 1971. She spent her early years in Emery, moving to Wellington in 1929.

In 1971 she moved to Riverton and in 1974 to Hildale, where she resided until her death. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and enjoyed singing in church choirs. Survivors include one son and two daughters, Donald B. Cox of Hilda'e; Luella Bradshaw of Col- SENIOR Colette Griffin He was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved the outdoors. He is survived by two sons and a daughter: Amy Jo, 13, Robert and Michael Ryan, parents Clem and Donita Griffin of Escalante; brothers and sisters Mitzi and Tom Borovatz, Crystle and Steve Newbold, and Kelly and Kraig Lundeberg, all of Murray.

Colette was born Dec. 30, 1972 in Salt Lake City to Robert Clem Griffin and Debora M. Hambleton. She was a student at Escalante High School and a member of the LDS Church. She is survived by her mother, divorced.

She loved the outdoors and riding horses. She was a member of the LDS Church. She is survived by sons Duston Smith and Jesse Dean, both of Escalante; parents of Escalante; and brother and sisters Daryl Cecil, Mrs. Evervin (Debra) Cronin, Mrs. Berry (LaNell) Ness, Mrs.

She was an active member of the LDS Church, serving many years in the Primary organization. She enjoyed making porcelain dolls. Survivors family members include her mother, Lola Treglown of Salt Lake City; her husband, Lloyd Ragley of Hurricane; two sons, Marlo Piesky and Connie Piesky, both of Anchorage, Alaska; three daughters, Carolyn Trudie Atwood Debora, of Salt Lake; sister Stefanie Howell and step-father Steven Howell, both of Delta; grandparents Harvey and Madge Hambleton of Salt Lake City and Clem and Donita Griffin of Escalante. Joint funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in the Escalante LDS Second Ward Chapel.

Friends may call at the ward chapel in Escalante Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Interment will be in the Escalante Cemetery under the direction of Neal S. Magleby and Sons Mortuary, Richfield. Glen (Shellie) Wilson and Rhonda Kay Griffin, all of Escalante.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Escalante LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call Thursday one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Escalante Cemetery under the direction of the Southern Utah Mortuary. Sherman of Salt Lake City; Maraland Morgan of Ririe, Idaho; and Sheila Hope of Rexburg, Idaho; one sister, four brothers, 19 grandchildren and 17 greatgrandchildren.

Graveside services were held Tuesday at the Taylorsville Cemetery in the Salt Lake City area. orado City; and Beverly Cox of Layton. Wesley (Marilyn) Foster of Bellingham, Wash. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Centennial Park Chapel. Friends may call Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Hurricane Valley Mortuary in Hurricane and Friday at the chapel from 10 a.m.

GEORGE Florence Sorenson Mathis, 83, died Aug.

22, 1989 in St. George of natural causes. Sorenson. She married Carl Miles Mathis Aug. 29, 1929 in St.

George. Their marriage was later solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple. He died Feb. 12, 1977.

She lived in St. George her entire life. She was an active member of Donald Lott WALLA WALLA, Wash. Donald "Donn" Lott, 72, died Friday, Aug. 18, 1989 in Walla Walla, Wash.

He was born Sept. 20, 1916 in Lehi to Morgan Stanley and Barbara Rose Belle Peterson Lott. He married Norma Mathis April 4, 1939 in St. George. The marriage was later solemnized in the St.

George LDS Temple. She died Sep. 20, 1987. She was born June 14, 1906 in St. George to Albert and Ethel Andrus Florence Mathis Florence Mathis attended Henager's Business College in Salt Lake City.

He worked in the plumbing and heating business in Lehi and Walla Walla. In 1954 he reported for work on the Hanford nuclear project as well as many other classified projects in that area and went to work for the Washington State Penitentiary as a plumbing foreman in 1958, retiring in 1978.
