Neldon Bezzant Neldon 0. Bezzant, 76, passed away while surrounded by his loving family. His valiant heart stopped beating Nov. 22, 1999. He was born March 13, 1923, in Garfield to Orald M. and Gladys Street Bezzant. He married Vairanica Driffill on Dec. 26. 1946. . He was -a -proud graduate of Cyprus High School, class of 1941. Neldon served in the Navy during World War li in Alaska and the Pacific from 1942-46. He was a patriotic veteran and. member of the VFW Post 7398 in Magna. He donated his time for many civic causes, including the Voice Democracy competition in the local schools, and served in many local, state and national positions. He retired from Kennecott Copper Corp., where he worked for more than 30 years. His greatest achievement was a husband and father. He raised five children, two sons and three daughters. He was a fair and purely unselfish man. His talents were many carpentry, plumbing, auto mechanics. He helped many with his skills. He was also a great cook. His family and friends will always remember his riga-toni and meatballs, and his great roast beef. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years: Vairanica Driffill Bezzant; and his five children: William D. Bezzant (lone) of Lehi, Marilyn Taylor (Jed) of West Valley City, Douglas Bezzant (Margean) of Magna, Christine (Jeff) Sandall of Magna, and Pamela (David) Slack of Cedar City; 18 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren; a brother: Richard (Dick) Bezzant; and two sisters: Maxine (Pete) Collings and Dorothy (Lynn) Miller. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother: Kenneth Bezzant. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 27, 1999, under the direction of Peel Funeral Home in Magna. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made to the Cyprus High School Athletic fund care of Zions Bank, Magna branch.
