GEORGE Our beloved mother and grandmother, Edna Eliza Porter Little, passed away peacefully the evening of May 31, 2000. She was born May 29, 1908, to William Ira and Zina Porter in Porterville. Edna married George R. Little, who preceded her in death, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on March 16, 1938. They lived and worked in Morgan, before moving to Oregon, where they raised their family. Edna and George retired to Mesa, Ariz., in 1970, and moved to St. George 10 years ago. Edna was an excellent seamstress, kept detailed journals of their travels, had a great sense of humor ' and enjoyed her grandchildren, who loved her nursery rhymes and stories. She always found ways to serve ' others. Edna is survived by her children: Larry (Claudia) Little of LaHabra, Calif., Douglas (Marilee) Little of Ivins and Pamela (Richard) Christensen of Columbus, Ohio, currently serving an LDS Mission in Sao Paulo, Brazil; 33 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; a sister: Areta Rushforth, of Centerville; and a brother: Leland (Beth) Porter, of Bountiful. Four sisters and a brother preceded her in death. Funeral services will be Friday, June 9, 2000, at 11 a.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 300 W. St. George Blvd. A visitation will be one hour prior to services.
