T v v ' Elaine Rodabough WEST JORDAN Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and - aunt, Lillis Elaine Rodabough, passed away May 3, 2000, at her daughter's home, in West Jordan, after a valiant struggle with cancer." She was born May 1, 1926, to Lillis McBride and Alexander Hencley in Cedar City, Utah. She spent her childhood in Parowan and Paragon-ah Paragon-ah Paragon-ah where she was a cheerleader at Parowan High School. After graduating graduating from high school, she married Jay Don Alger; they later divorced. She- She- moved to Salt Lake, where she met and married her sweetheart, Sidney Rodabough on Oct. 26, 1958. Elaine enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and visiting with her extended family and friends. She was an avid reader. She appreciated the beauty of nature, especially the flowers her husband grew in their yard. She spent many years working as a telephone opera-. opera-. opera-. tor and then as a 911 operator for Salt Lake County. She is survived by her loving husband: husband: Sidney; children: Don Ray (Jennifer) Alger of Cedar City, Craig (Anamarie) Rodabough of Orem, Lillie (Randy) Thomas of West Jordan; six grandchildren: Dani, Toni, Bailey, Forrest, Madison and Bryce; great-granddaughter: great-granddaughter: great-granddaughter: Baylee; sister: Clare Stubbs of Salt Lake; brother Garr Johnson of Virginia and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jack. The family would like to thank IHC Hospice Care, Frank and Shelly .' Wamsley and Jan Prestley, all ' of t whomn were 'caring andhelpfdl to , Elaine during her extended illness. '' Graveside services will be held Monday, May 8, 2000, 10 a.m. at the Paragonah Cemetery, Paragonah, Utah, under the direction of Mosdell Mortuary, Kanab, Utah.
